And not just any sorcerer. A dead sorcerer.

At least, he was until he woke up alive after having his heart ripped out by the shadow of his mentor with the voices from the telephone wire singing in his veins, in his head.

And, with thanks to a hat, some amazing luck and a conversation with the dragon of London, Matthew Swift is also the new Midnight Mayor.
